I love this photo because it is a simple but fascinating detail of a facade in Mexico; the colour is just gorgeous. By the way the spiritual significance of this colour – according to the book “Colour Kingdom” by Sri Chinmoy – is lustre.
Spiritual teacher and peace advocate Sri Chinmoy visited Switzerland several times in his lifetime. Often I had the opportunity to be there and capture him in photos or videos. This photo shows him on the top of the Schilthorn in the Swiss Alps in the early 1980s. The outer vastness of the panormic view and the inner vastness of the spiritual figure are mingling together.
In 2006 I was visiting Japan and also half climbed mount Fuji. I love vulcanos and therefore was very fascinated by the climate up there: fairly cold, windy and harsh. We were walking on the sharp lava stones and I took a picture from my Mongolian friend. We both were visiting Kamakura to attend special concerts by spiritual master Sri Chinmoy.
